GM CS 144 140AMP Alternator Conversion for the Vixen 21 TD

Providing clean and plentiful power will help eliminate some of the electrical gremlins that plague the Vixen.  It wont overcome all the bad butt connectors but its a damn good place to start!

Complete KIT with instructions and:

NEW:  CS 144 Alternator with correct pulley and wiring pigtail - CS 144 is readily available at parts stores but will require swapping this pulley if the high quality one in the kit ever fails.  No core to TheBestParts is required.

NEW:  Automatic Surefire Switching Solenoid - allows connection and charging of all batteries once the charging side is full it will connect to other side.  Also has boost override for jump starting with coach batteries.

NEW:  Custom Mounting and adjuster KIT - meant for original BMW bracket (not drilled or hacked up) this allows for correct pulley alignment.  Pivot bolt, custom spacer and custom captured nut are included for easy install.

we recommend new battery cables of 4 gauge cable.  2 gauge max. while installing the new alternator kit.
